“HUDSON is a great companion to an already great series.” ~ Under the Covers
HUDSON is the Fixed trilogy told from the hero’s POV. As I was a big fan of the Fixed trilogy, I was excited to see how Laurelin Paige would take one of my favorite heroes and make me love him more.
I found that being in Hudson’s head was easy. He’s a classy man with very strict ideas and morals. While I enjoyed reading this book, I don’t know if I liked it as much as the Fixed trilogy. I think much of Hudson’s appeal came from how the heroine reacted to him so this book felt like a walk in the park compared to the roiling emotions of the first books in the series.
As this is told sole from Hudson’s POV, readers should only read this AFTER they read the fixed trilogy. A lot of spoilers will be revealed otherwise.
As expected, a lot of Hudson’s reasons for his behaviour are explored in more detail. I wished other details we didn’t already know about were included as well. I wanted something that would make this story a little more special and intriguing. All in all, HUDSON is a great companion to an already great series.
