We were tagged by the lovely ladies over at Black Heart Reviews to fill in this questionnaire so here we are revealing our deep, dark secrets for your amusement. So read carefully folks, there will be a quiz!
1. HOW TALL ARE YOU?
2. DO YOU HAVE A HIDDEN TALENT? IF SO, WHAT?
Francesca: If I tell you it wouldn’t be hidden, would it? Soooo how about the obvious here. I make all the graphics you see on UTC.
Suzanne: My hidden talent…I have no hidden talent, if I am good at something I like to brag about it! ;P
Angela: No talent. Certainly nothing that is hidden. What you see is what you get and like Suz, If I had a talent, I’d brag as well.
Annie: No, I’m not good at anything. I’m good at being right but that’s not a talent unless you’re hoping to piss someone off.
3. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST BLOG-RELATED PET PEEVE?
Francesca: Bloggers not acting professional. This includes begging for ARCs, kissing author’s ass and writing kissy-ass reviews.
Suzanne: All the drama, I hate it when something suddenly explodes and causes a load of trouble.
Angela: Authors who reacts to negative reviews in the worst possible way. I think when they do that, it gives them a negative reputation. I know several reviewers/readers who refuses to review books for this reason alone.
Annie: Showing off everything you get/have. Don’t be Kim K. Keep it classy.
4. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST NON-BLOG RELATED PET-PEEVE?
Francesca: People. I tend to hate people. In general. With few exceptions. 😉
Suzanne: Slow people in shops who then suddenly decide to stop in the middle of the aisle. One day it will drive me to violence and their will be a smackdown between me and the idiot who decided to stop right in front of me. Expect to see my face in the new soon!
Angela: An open toilet seat. I have this fear of dropping things in there so, I like it closed at all times. So, we bought this slow closing cover…that all you need is to tip it slightly and closes on its own. I know, I’m weird like that.
Annie: When people are having a bad day and want to take everyone down with them.
5. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SONG?
Francesca: Haaaaaaard questions because I love too many songs. How about my most recent, been playing this shit out, jam? Habits by Tove Lo.
Suzanne: Hmmm I go through phases, a the moment my favourite song is “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” by Charlie Daniels Band
Angela: Okay, I don’t listen to music much coz if I had to listen to something it’s usually audiobooks. If I opened my ipod now, I’d probably play something from Pink.
Annie: Milk by Kings of Leon because it takes me back to good times.
6. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ETSY SHOP?
Francesca: Gahhh! I’m an Etsy whore. I can’t narrow down to one store.
Suzanne: Etsy…I confess I have never really been on it…
Angela: Love Etsy. I don’t have a particular shop but I’ve bought stickers for my phone and a couple of workout tanks from there.
Annie: I don’t shop on Etsy as much as I used to 🙁
7. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND YOUR FREE TIME WHEN YOU’RE ALONE?
Francesca: Reading, definitely. Curled up under a blanket usually, with a drink of choice depending mood, book or weather.
Suzanne: You will be massively unsurprised when I say reading. Closely followed by watching Doctor Who.
Angela: Read Under the Covers. No, literally, I love to read in bed, under the covers. I’m a bed-potato. =)
Annie: Reading and watching reruns of White Collar because Matt Bomer is yum.
8. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE JUNK FOOD?
Francesca: Hmmm I don’t eat a lot junk food and I’m not a sweets girl. I prefer salty every time. There’s this Mexican restaurant by my work that makes the most decadent cheese flautas! Crunchy, delicious, melted cheese, spicy goodness! I mean, really, with just bread and cheese I could live happy for the rest of my life.
Suzanne: Anything that involves chocolate. Hmmm chocolate…*drools*
Angela: I’m with Fran. I can skip on the sugary foods but not the salty. Right now, I’m so addicted to Flammin’ Hot Cheetos.
Annie: Diet Coke.
9. DO YOU HAVE PETS?
Francesca: Yes, mah baby Taz. He’s a senior citizen, almost 13 year old, german shepperd/lab mix dog. I’ve had him since he was just weeks old and he is like my child.
Suzanne: Not anymore 🙁 I used to have a few cats, but they have gone to kitty heaven.
Angela: I have 2 Bichons. Wonton and Noodle. Had a 3rd one named Dimsum but he’s not with us anymore. =(
Annie: Yes, I have a Shih Tzu named Roko. He’s six and a complete sweetheart.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FICTION AND NON-FICTION BOOKS?
Francesca: I used to read more non-fiction than I do now. So these might be a little older titles. But I love the work by David Yallop and more recently I’ve enjoyed THE STEVE JOBS WAY by Jay Elliot and THROUGH MY EYES by Tim Tebow. Fiction? That’s a DIFFICULT question to answer, but what I can do is give you must auto buy authors. Lisa Kleypas, J.R. Ward, Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and Megan Hart. Then there’s many books outside of these authors that are favorites as well. I could be here all day.
Suzanne: Non-fiction, I don’t think I have ever read. As for fiction *rubs hand together* where to begin, this list could get long, so I will just go with my top 5: Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series, Meljean Brook’s Iron Seas series, Sarah Addison Allen “The Sugar Queen” but I am partial to everything she has ever written, JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood and anything written by Lisa Kleypas. To name a few.
Angela: Not a non-fiction fan. Love anything romance excluding heavy BDSM, MM/FF or anything with rape, kidnapping and scary ghosts. With that said anything PNR, UF, Contemp especially small town, cowboys, Rom/suspense and even 50-like books. Top fave authors are Ward, Kenyon, Cole, Ione, Showalter, Cecy Robson, Darynda Jones.
Annie: I don’t know. Alexa Chung’s It? I pretty much only read Fiction and my fave untouchable authors are Karen Marie Moning and J.R. Ward.
11. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCT?
Francesca: What’s with all these hard questions? Well if I must give you just one thing, and since I usually (hardly ever) leave home without at least eye liner and mascara, then Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara
Suzanne: Red lipstick. My mother very affectionately calls is my “whore lipstick”. But I love it.
Angela: Lancome Eyebrow pencil. I think this pencil has been a constant in my life. I’ve changed brands, colors and even brushes but never would I change my eyebrow pencil.
Annie: I’m in love with my Hourglass blush palette at the moment.
12. WHEN WERE YOU LAST EMBARRASSED?
Francesca: How about when my regular work UPS driver brought me a package from Amazon and I had completely forgotten what I had ordered. So I started feeling up the package and it felt like little balls. So thinking out loud I said “what could this be?” he says “the beads *waggle eyebrows* you needed” So of course I said “no, these would be too small for that!” Come to think of it, I probably embarrassed him more than I embarrassed myself.
Suzanne: It’s quite hard to embarrass me, although I normally do a fab job of embarrassing my self. Like when my sports bra broke mid run at the gym…not my finest moment!
Angela: I just told this story. It’s no my latest but it’s one of the most memorable. It was at RT13. I was left star-struck or I should say “author-struck”. I came up to a fave author and she rendered me speechless. In fact, I was stuttering gibberish words. I’ll never forget it. Ugh, I hope she doesn’t remember it. Hell, I hope she doesn’t remember me.
Annie: When I was buying some clothes, the guy ringing me up held up the clothes, took one look at me and growled.
13. IF YOU COULD DRINK ONE BEVERAGE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Francesca: Is there really any question? Coffee. I would love an IV if it didn’t dehydrate me.
Suzanne: Diet pepsi, in fact I am sipping it as I write this!
14. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?
Francesca: Depends on my mood. Yes, as with everything else, I seem to be a very moody person.
Suzanne: Lord of the Rings or Serenity. Depends what mood I am to which has my top spot on any particular day, but I love both of them.
Angela: The latest movie I loved was Dracula: Untold. That and The Book of Life.
Annie: A tie between Skyfall and Beauty and the Beast
15. WHAT WERE YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL? PROM QUEEN, NERD, CHEERLEADER, JOCK, VALEDICTORIAN, BAND GEEK, LONER, ARTIST, ETC?
Francesca: None of the above? Mix of all?
Suzanne: I wasn’t any of those things, I was the boring normal person! I got good marks, I had nice friends, I spent alot of my time reading with my head in the clouds, I could have been the mos unpopular girl in school and I don’t think I would have noticed!
Angela: None of the above. I wasn’t a recluse but I had more friends from different schools then in my own school.
Annie: Oh I was definitely the rebel. I was always causing mischief, getting kicked out of class when I was there.
16. IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU LIVE?
Francesca: Everywhere! There’s too many places to see to be tied down to one if you have the opportunity 😉 If I had to choose, I would love to go back home LOL I would love living in Italy, where I was actually born.
Suzanne: I am not sure, I would like to travel around a bit and see where I preferred.
Angela: New York or in the vicinity. There’s always some book related function over. Nothing ever happens in my neck of the woods.
Annie: On a beach somewhere. But I also kind of like the idea of London, England. I’ll be closer to Suz!
17. PC OR MAC?
Annie: PC too.
18. LAST ROMANTIC GESTURE FROM A CRUSH, DATE, BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
Francesca: Does doing all the laundry and vacuuming the house count?
Suzanne: My life is sadly lacking in romance..lets skip this question!
Angela: Last gesture is leaving me at home alone on a Saturday morning. So, I can stay in bed and read.
Annie: I think any real life guy who attempts to write a poem for you and then goes on to recite it to you on your bday deserves some recognition. I wonder if he reads romances in his spare time because I can tell you that NEVER ever happens.
19. FAVORITE CELEB?
Francesca: I think most people know this about me….Jason Momoa. Huge lady boner!
Suzanne: Benedict Cumberbatch. I am this close to kidnapping and chaining him in my basement…
Angela: The Rock!
Annie: David Gandy.
20. WHICH BLOGGER DO YOU SECRETLY WANT TO BE BEST FRIENDS WITH?
Francesca: My time to actually read and visit blogs has gone down to almost zero this year. So there’s only a few I visit and love their features. So the one I always love to visit and love how original she is, is Megan from Reading Books Like a Boss
Suzanne: I’m a bad blogger, like Fran I have zero time to visit elsewhere, luckily I am already besties with my favourite blogger, Fran, Annie and Angela 🙂
Angela: I think I’ve made my peace with who my besties are in the blogging world, UTC gals are it. Actually, our friendship goes beyond the social media and I’m happy with that. I don’t need or want to be best friends with anyone else though there’s 1 or 2 other bloggers I trust.
Annie: Sam and Nic.
NOW, we call out to answer this survey: Parajunkee, Romancing the Darkside, Hot Listens, Kindles and Wine and Feeling Fictional
