“…although I did like this one, I didn’t quite like the romance as much as the others.” ~ Under the Covers
Tiger has always said he wouldn’t take a mate, especially not a human one. However, the first time he sees Zandy, after saving her he can’t stop thinking about her and the hot kiss they shared. And keeping away from her when she starts working for New Species proves impossible as the passion flare intensely between them, leaving his vow to stay unmated in ashes.
Ah Tiger, I knew he would fall hard, it is always the ones that protest too much that get hit the hardest. Once again Laurann Dohner gives us a hot and sexy instalment of the New Species series. I really can’t get enough of this series, it’s sexy humorous and I love that we get to know all the different secondary characters as we go along, and hopefully they will all get their own books eventually.
However, although I did like this one, I didn’t quite like the romance as much as the others. Like all the others Tiger was hot in bed, I love the purring thing the feline New Species do, but I didn’t think that the relationship between Zandy and Tiger was as intense as the other books in this series.
But, although this book wasn’t my favourite in the series, I won’t stop reading, I can’t wait to read more and see some more of my favourite New Species boys get their own books. If you want a series that is sexy and stuffed to the brim with alpha males than look no further, New Species is just what you need.

Annnnnd I will stop myself there, before I start waxing lyrical about my love of historical romance and fantasy as well; no one needs to know about my elf fantasies. As you can tell, I adore and day dream about most romance genres, and my three big loves are 1) reading about romance 2) writing about romance and 3) talking about romance with my gals. Which, is why I love Under the Covers so much, I get all my bookish needs satisfied and don’t get judged when I talk about my favourite characters like they are real people. Which they are right?
