“This was a fun story with an edgy of dangerous, added in by that sexy hero.” ~ Under the Covers
What’s better than falling in love with your best friend? Decker has always been in love with Elizabeth, always the best friend and loving her from afar. He sees himself as just the kid from the wrong side of the tracks, not wanting to sully her perfection with the likes of him. But he’s also made it his mission to be her protector. And that’s how he finds himself in jail for ten years.
Elizabeth has always stayed true to her friendship with Decker, even when others don’t support of it. Especially her new boyfriend.
This was a fun story with an edgy of dangerous, added in by that sexy hero. I love under appreciated heroes and I feel as if Decker was that in the past. He was boxed in the “friend” category and had to suffer seeing the love of his life with other men. His love obvious to everyone but her. But don’t think he’s all sweet and good. Decker has a dangerous and extreme side that as much as it is sexy that he’s so protective, it might’ve scared me just a bit. Elizabeth is also a full figured woman, and as much as her boyfriend had put her down for it, Decker loves her curves and makes her feel good about herself.
It’s always so hard for me to connect with short stories like this that stand alone and are not about characters I already know from a series. But Ms. Walker packs a great amount of story in a short amount of pages. If you haven’t read her yet, this will be a great small taste.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
