“Cecy Robson is one of my favorite authors and I have yet to read a book by her that I didn’t like.” ~ Under the Covers
Get to know The Weird Sisters from the very beginning before they ever honed their powers and had a full understanding of what they really are and what kind or paranormal creatures are out there. They will find out they are not so “weird” after all. Cursed from birth, Celia and her sisters were cursed and ended up with powers they will eventually use fight evil supes and landing them a solid spot in the paranormal world…on the good side of course.
This book is release after the series has already been established up to the third installment, Cursed by Destiny. But no worries, this is a great introduction to the series. As Celia and her sisters get to know more of their powers and this new world they are living in, you will learn it with them. I promise that each book in the series gets better and better. The characters get stronger, action becomes more intense and the romance becomes more complicated.
If you have already read this series, this is a fun read to get to know the sisters “pre-kick ass” years and definitely pre-Misha and pre-Aric years. This is actually post-Danny story where everyone is just getting to know what this world is about; making this novella a perfect read to new readers of the series.
I did have to step out of what I already know about this world as some of it yet to exist. It was hard to get used to a less confident Weird Sisters. It was hardest to get used to the girls not having their powers in full control. Not only that their powers have matured, they have also matured emotionally. They really have come a long way from this stage of their lives. I also kept looking for my Aric and Misha whom I desperately need to get more of.
Cecy Robson is one of my favorite authors and I have yet to read a book by her that I didn’t like. All the books in this series are written well with good world building. It’s full of snarky humor, action packed scenes, strong and sexy heroes and kick ass heroines. You can also expect a heart break or two. If you like these things that I mentioned, this series is for you.
