” Seth was exactly what I love, it was full of action, laughs and some deliciously hot love scenes…” ~ Under the Covers
The last time he saw Anastasia she was going to kill him, now she has come to Seth for his help. And how can he refuse her? She is his wife after all. Jealousy and manipulation by the military destroyed their marriage last time, but could this be Seth’s opportunity to get back the woman he has never stopped loving? Or will they once again be ripped apart?
I am a sucker from some sci-fi romance, add in aliens or cyborgs and I am in cloud nine. So Seth was exactly what I love, it was full of action, laughs and some deliciously hot love scenes, it’s official you can mail me C/O Cloud Nine.
However, this was book five of Eve Langlais’ Cyborgs: More than Machines series, and I only wish that I had read it is some kind of order, it references characters and events that I know very little about as I have only read the first book. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying the central love story, and I got the jist, military; baddies, cyborgs; goodies. It has inspired me though to fill in the gaps and read the rest of the series in preparation for the next book.
What I liked about Seth, apart from the sex scenes of course, was that I had a holiday from dark broody heroes and instead had Seth, he was funny and irreverent, and although he had his darker moments, it was great to read a hero that would crack a smile. Especially when we had a broody heroine to contend with, it was nice to switch the roles round. I am also not normally a fan of rekindled romance, but, I didn’t find this issue, especially as we got flash backs to the past and watch as they fell in love to begin with.
I really enjoyed this book, it was funny, sexy and entertaining, I will definitely be reading the next book, as soon as I have finished catching up on the books I have missed!
