“BURN FOR ME is a hot romp between the sheets. If you’re looking for a quickie, then this might be something for you. ” ~ Under the Covers
In this short novella by Lauren Blakely, we meet the sinfully sexy fireman Smith Grayson. Smith and Jamie Langsley have been friends for awhile but things don’t actually ignite until now. As much as Jamie is attracted to Smith, she isn’t looking for another fling. She wants commitment and something to hold onto in the long run.
However, after one smoking hot night of indulgence, Smith wants more and suddenly all Jamie wants is no-commitment sex. While I liked Smith and his hot fireman ways, I got annoyed by Jamie’s constant changing of her mind. At the beginning, she wanted something serious and then now changed her mind – she wants some fun. Poor Smith has to deal with it all and to be honest, I think it was too much for such a short story. I lost a little respect for Jamie who didn’t know what she wanted and because of that, I think the romance faltered somewhat.
BURN FOR ME is a hot romp between the sheets. If you’re looking for a quickie, then this might be something for you.
