“This is, for sure, my favorite book in this series. It had action, intrigue, great leading characters and a sexy romance. ” ~Under the Covers
DASH OF PERIL is another great installment in this series. It has that authentic Lori Foster feel because it has just enough intrigue to keep you guessing at the danger, but it’s also fun and sexy. The fun and sexy usually wins out for me and that’s one thing I always expect from her books.
I was excited about this book because after GETTING ROWDY it was obvious that sparks would fly and explode between Dash and his brother’s superior, Margo. And I was completely right. And what I loved the most about this was the fact that as much as Lieutenant Margaret Peterson is a tough woman in a man’s world, used to always doing for herself, she only put up a bit of resistance to Dash’s seduction. This could’ve dragged being the “I can’t be with you because you’re related to one of my guys” but it wasn’t. Pleasantly surprised and happy about it!
Then there’s Dash, he was my favorite part of the story. He zeroes in on what he wants and is 110% focused on getting it. And that is Margo. Protecting her as well as loving her. Not letting her get away without giving him first a sample, then a real chance. He’s confident in a calm and cool way. He doesn’t have to overdo his alphaness. And ultimately that is the perfect mix for Margo because she doesn’t know a different way to live her life but to keep up her tough persona. She can just put that guard down with him now.
The glimpses of Cannon in this book have me biting my nails to get his book. I think it’ll be a great one! I was crushing a little on him in Rowdy’s book and now I really am anxious to see how his story will unfold, especially after the ending of DASH OF PERIL.
This is, for sure, my favorite book in this series. It had action, intrigue, great leading characters and a sexy romance. Really, what more can you ask for?
