“BURN FOR ME gives us just a taste, a small dipping of toes in the murky waters of Madison, but I can already anticipate that she has much more in store for us and we’ve only just scratched the surface of what’s going in this small town.” ~Under the Covers
BURN FOR ME was unexpectedly just romantic. I know, obviously there’s gotta be the connection between Ali and Tate. And although I’m not usually a fan of the guys that think they are too damaged to be in a relationship (especially when their reasoning is a bit unsubstantial) I couldn’t help but connect with the H/h in this story.
Tate and Ali have always been meant to be. He’s had a crush on her since high school, where she ended up dating someone else and getting knocked up. Now, loser gone and a kid left behind for Ali to raise by herself, Tate sees the opportunity to have Ali all to himself. But only in a non-emotional arrangement. He’s too much like his father and he believes his father killed his mother. A mother who just disappeared one day.
As always with Ms. Walker’s books, the writing conveys all the emotions of the characters, it draws you in and doesn’t let go until you’ve finished. This is the first novella of three stories about the Bell family. They’re introducing the town of Madison, where I’m sure there’s more than meets the eye.
Shiloh Walker can write suspense like very few authors. I can’t wait to see her dive in fully into this series. BURN FOR ME gives us just a taste, a small dipping of toes in the murky waters of Madison, but I can already anticipate that she has much more in store for us and we’ve only just scratched the surface of what’s going in this small town.
I hope that we get to see a little of the suspense that made me love the Ash Trilogy in this series, I can’t wait!

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
