“Sassy and fun.” ~Under the Covers

The perfect time to pick up a book by Vicky Dreiling is when you want to read something sweet that will leave you wanting to time travel into another century.  WHAT A RECKLESS ROGUE NEEDS was entertaining, in typical Vicky Dreiling fashion.

Another one in her collection of rakes, Colin is not looking to settle down yet.  But when his father calls him back home with the news that he will sell his childhood home (and his mother’s burial ground) unless Colin decides to marry a respectable lady, his plans quickly change.  His attachment to the house and his only memory of his deceased mother prove to be a stronger force than the thought of not running around London chasing women.

I love stories of “enemies” to lovers and this is a perfect example of that.  Sassy and fun.  Colin and Angeline have known each other since childhood.  They were neighbors growing up and the same age. Their families always thought they should grow up to marry.  Except they were always at each other’s throats.  Always with a quick remark.  Seemed like the most unlikely couple.

But Lady Angeline has a broken engagement behind her now and have changed her views of society and Colin is desperate to keep his family home.  While they help each other, the bond of friendship grows and the issues they’ve had are slowly put aside.

Her heroines are always fun and a bit daring and her heroes are always the dashing rakes we want to swoon for.  WHAT A RECKLESS ROGUE NEEDS was exactly that all wrapped up in a fun packaging that just got me lost in its pages.  Can’t wait for the next Scoundrel to fall.

About Vicky Dreiling

Vicky Dreiling is a confirmed historical romance junkie and Anglophile. Frequent business trips to the UK allowed her to indulge her passion for all things Regency England. Bath, Stonehenge, and Spencer House are among her favorite places. She is, however, truly sorry for accidentally setting off a security alarm in Windsor Castle. That unfortunate incident led her British colleagues to nickname her “Trouble.” When she’s not writing, Vicky enjoys reading, films, concerts, and most of all, long lunches with friends. A native Texan, she holds degrees in English literature and marketing.

I’m a 30 something sun lover living in the Big Apple (read New York).I’m a book and coffee addict and lover of all things elephants.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!

I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
