“SOMEBODY’S ANGEL was full of healing, heartbreak, love and family. It took me low, it broke my heart, it picked me back up and let me see hope. ” ~Under the Covers
Kallypso Masters has a way at breaking down her characters, splitting them open for all of us to see their deepest issues. We’ve known Marc had some things he hadn’t worked through in his past that were interfering with his relationship with Angelina. We started to see that in the previous book, but to see the extent of how broken their relationship really was in this book broke my heart.
I have come to care for these characters truly as if they were real, and a big part of this book was like hitting a wall. I felt Angelina’s pain at not getting through to Marc. At not getting him to open up to her and let her help him. It was almost too much to read. Then Marc seeks help and he does find the root of his problems, which unearths a lot of family secrets buried many years ago.
The feeling of family is strong in this book, and that is my absolute favorite part of this book. The parent/son and sibling relationship with the d’Alessio’s, the family bond that Marc (and Angelina) have with the Masters at Arms people and the family bond formed between Marc and Angelina. And how family will be there for you no matter what.
It was hard for me to read about Marc’s “treatment” because I wasn’t happy to see him in that place. But it brightened my heart once we passed that part and we were able to find some healing. Things, as usual, aren’t tied neatly with a bow. But that’s real, and life takes constant work. Serious issues don’t magically go away.
SOMEBODY’S ANGEL was full of healing, heartbreak, love and family. It took me low, it broke my heart, it picked me back up and let me see hope. And let me feel love. That love, that bond, that deeper thread that connects the characters in this series and shows me they can all help each other. And although this wasn’t my favorite book in this series, it was still overflowing with emotion.
I can’t wait for Luke’s story. Loving the setup and what the author is letting us glimpse into what happens after the ending of NOBODY’S ANGEL. Anxiously awaiting! As usual.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
