This is another entertaining and fun read by Gena Showalter~ Under the Covers
When Julia Anderson picks up an antique box, she never expects to find what is inside. A man. Tristan is there to fulfill her every desire, to pleasuring her to cleaning for her. Not that he is happy about it, spelled into the box by a scorned lover Tristan has spent centuries forced to do the whim of any woman who holds the box, the only way to break the curse is to fall in love. Something he knows he could easily do with Julia, but to fall in love with her is to lose her as he would be returned to his home world and unable to return.
This is another entertaining and fun read by Gena Showalter and also the second (and I believe last book) in the Imperia series, this series is a mixture of sci-fi, with our sexy alien heroes and paranormal romance with the addition of magic and sorcerers. This all adds up to a lot of fun and some sexy yet sweet romance.
Like the first book in the series, The Stone Prince, this book had a good romance, Tristan was a sexy alpha male and Julia was the sweet and slightly kooky girl who has to put up with him and his gorgeousness. The story goes along the expected lines, so although there may not be anything particularly original about The Pleasure Slave, this didn’t stop me from eating this book up.
It is a shame this series hasn’t continued, there were a few characters both in this book and the previous book that I would have liked to know more about, but it is still worth giving this book a go, it is sexy and funny ans should leave you with a smile on your face.

Annnnnd I will stop myself there, before I start waxing lyrical about my love of historical romance and fantasy as well; no one needs to know about my elf fantasies. As you can tell, I adore and day dream about most romance genres, and my three big loves are 1) reading about romance 2) writing about romance and 3) talking about romance with my gals. Which, is why I love Under the Covers so much, I get all my bookish needs satisfied and don’t get judged when I talk about my favourite characters like they are real people. Which they are right?
