Eight erotic romance writers came together with a dream. To join forces to create the sexiest set of novellas ever combined into one box set. The result: Midnight Ink. These stories are connected by characters and setting, taking place in a tattoo shop in New Orleans around New Year’s Eve.
Today, we thought it might be fun to share our own ink dreams as the authors reveal what tattoo they’d get at Midnight Ink and why!
Eden Bradley – I walk into Midnight Ink and there are too many hot tattoo artists to choose from-plus the shop’s owner who is maybe my dream man. Too bad he doesn’t tattoo. But back to my dilemma…Shep? Caliph? Eli? Declan? Mmm…Declan. Since he’s a guest artist I should take advantage of him being there. Plus…he’s smokin’! I’ve been wanting to get a phoenix on the inside of my left forearm, the long, graceful tail feathers wrapped around my wrist. The phoenix, born out of the fire, should always be done in the colors of the flames: red, gold, orange, but I want his eyes to burn like new emeralds. I love the symbolism of the phoenix-it goes along with the cherry blossoms I have tattooed all over my back, on my ankle, on my right wrist. Symbols of rebirth and regeneration. It’s an important theme to me. It’s about surviving the hard stuff in life, about having to recreate myself over and over in my writing career. I think it’s good to remember that we can get through this stuff. And it’ll make for some gorgeous ink!
PG Forte – I’d get a vampire bat on the back of my neck, because I try and get at least one tattoo per book or series and I don’t have anything commemorating my Children of Night series yet. Or I’d get the Midnight Ink logo, if I could talk all the others into getting it too! So…the pressure’s on.
Mari Carr – I’ve been plotting my tattoo for years! It’s actually quite a simple design…just one word. Imagine. I’d like to have it tattooed in a typewriter font (my mother was a keyboarding teacher for 32 years and I sort of LIVE on my own keyboard as I write) on my right shoulder blade.
Jayne Rylon – An octopus because they’re adaptable, highly intelligent and have three hearts. They’re my favorite animal to see when SCUBA diving. http://vimeo.com/44791802
Robin Rotham – I’m actually planning to get my first tattoo soon and I’ve been toying with ideas. I think it’s going to be the Smutketeers’ stylized S, embellished and prettier colored. But it will stand for quite a few other things in my life, all of which coincidentally begin with the letter S.
Carrie Ann Ryan – Ink at Midnight Ink? Count me in. And since I of course have lists for everything, next up on my tattoo list is a rose and black leaves to go on my shoulder. I do think that Shep, my hero, would totally rock at that. *wink*
Sidney Bristol – A grinning, heart shaped skull and cross bones, because there’s always something to smile about!
RG Alexander – Since the only tattoos I have are cover-ups, just like my heroine, if I could get a tattoo from Midnight Ink, I would probably get a beautiful image of Ganesha on my back (shoulder). Ganesha is a Hindu god who sits on a lotus and is known as the remover of obstacles…I have a thing for mythology, and plenty of obstacles I’d like removed *grin*. As for my artist, I’m torn. Caliph, Eli, Shep, Declan…all hunks who could distract me just by breathing. I think I’d have to go with Rosie, though. She’s got skills.
One tattoo shop in one infamous city sets the stage for 8 stories about resolutions, kink, love and ink. Get ready to let the good times roll!
Jayne Rylon – Report For Booty

Sidney Bristol - Picture Her Bound

Eden Bradley - Dangerously Inked – A Dangerous Romance
When the tattoo artist Finn Carter lined up for his visit to New Orleans turns out to be the mysteriously alluring sub he played on New Year’s Eve at The Bastille, the city’s BDSM club, more than his skin will be marked forever—and Rosie is just the woman to bring this playboy to his knees.
