Knox has a particular talent of making you LOVE her characters right from the very beginning of the story. ~ Under the Covers
CHAINED is the first in Ruthie’s Knox’s serial, Roman Holiday. It features an admirable, endearing and highly determined heroine named Ashley who just won’t back away from what she truly believes in.
The opening scene aptly sets the tone for this instalment in the serial. True to Knox’s writing, it’s packed with flirty banter, endearing characters and that so important spark of chemistry between opposites.
At only 40 pages long, it’s a quickie that’s perfect for something to read before you dive into bed or something entertaining during lunch. Either way, one thing is for sure, you will be smiling from ear to ear after reading this.
Knox has a particular talent of making you LOVE her characters right from the very beginning of the story. I cannot stress this enough, but THIS IS INTREGAL. Especially for a serial. I, for one, don’t particularly like serials because I hate the waiting in between. I would much rather wait until the entire serial is out and read it then. Therefore, I was highly skeptical about this simply because of the format it was written in.
But damn, Ruthie Knox proved me wrong. Not only did I LOVE this new beginning, but I also never thought I would enjoy a Contemporary Romance serial because there’s no suspense or mystery to keep readers coming back for more. I really, really need the next instalment.

Did you like this review? If so, please tell us your thoughts in the comments! Are you a fan of serials?
When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction, Cozy Mysteries and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, then I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.
When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and planners or dreaming about Kpop boys and beaches. Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!
