Top Ten: Ugly Heroes
This month on Top Ten we listed our favorite Ugly Heroes. You can check that out here. Who made your list?
Reading On the Darkside: Rock Star Week
This month we did something a little special when we devoted a whole week to Rockstar Romances! Here’s the fabulous lineup of authors:
Shock & Awe by Abigail Roux (M/M Romantic Suspense): This one is no surprise. Roux gives Nick and Kelly a scorcher of a story! If Shock & Awe is anything to go by, the Sidewinder stories will take readers on for awhile wild ride!
The Way Home by Cindy Gerard (Romantic Suspense): Wow. This book might be one of my favorites this year. So much emotion. So much detail. So much power. Cindy Gerard has written one of her best books with this novel.
The Perfect Match by Kristan Higgins (Contemporary Romance): If you want a book that will make you laugh out loud, then this one is a fantastic, quick read that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Just don’t pee in your pants. 🙂
Shadowdance by Kristen Callihan (Historical/Paranormal Romance): Well, Callihan has another fabulous one coming your way. Jack’s story is filled to the brim with action, sexual heat and some damn good ol’ fashion love vs. hate dynamics. I think this series continues to get stronger and better with each of its releases.
This month I’ve been in one slump after the other it seems. But these are the books I read that stood out and often got me out of my non-reading funk.
STICKS & STONES by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux: Yes I’m late to the party and I’m just on book two of the wonderful Cut & Run series. Gahhhhh AMAZEBALLS!
THE UNDEAD POOL by Kim Harrison: Totally cheating here because I got to read this ARC but it’s a rec you’ll have to put down for next year. OMG OMG OMG *fangirl squeeing* This book is amazing!!!!! All I’m going to say.
FINDING CINDERELLA by Colleen Hoover: A wonderful read with a little bit less of the usual emotional drain I get from a Hoover book, but an amazing story nonetheless.
THE UNIDENTIFIED REDHEAD by Alice Clayton: I loved Wallbanger so I was excited to read this but at the same time I didn’t want to because I feared the author couldn’t be as funny as in that book and I would be disappointed. Shouldn’t have worried. Although this isn’t quite AS funny, it’s definitely along the same lines. This is a light and sexy read, that will suck you in and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
