UTC Interviews Drew Evans from Emma Chase’s TANGLED

Us ladies at UTC had an amazing time reading TANGLED just a little while  back.  And we liked Drew so much because of his unconventional ways that we decided we had to invite him over to UTC to spend some time with us!

Hi Drew and welcome to UTC!  Lets get right to it, shall we?  Who is the better at their job…you or Katherine?

Are you trying to get me in trouble?  Mmm…I’ll take the diplomatic approach.

Kate’s amazing at the job – brilliant, cut throat when she has to be.  If I was incapacitated in some way, she’s the only person I’d be completely comfortable passing my clients off to.

But when she and I work together?  We’re unbeatable.  As a team, both of us are better than either of us are alone.

(Grins) That was a great answer, wasn’t it?

What is your favorite thing about Katherine?

It’s difficult to pick just one. (Chuckles)  I’ve never really thought of myself as an ass guy – I’ve always had a healthy appreciation for every part of the female body.  That being said, Kate’s ass is especially fascinating.

But, if I’m being honest – it’s Kate’s mind that sets her apart for me.  That makes her different from all the other women I’ve known.  Her ass may have been the first thing I noticed, but it’s the amazing person she is that keeps me coming back.  And makes me thankful, every day, that she’s mine.

If we were to ask Katherine what your most endearing habit is what would it be? And what would your most annoying habit be?

I keep Kate close to me when we sleep.  Even when I don’t realize I’m doing it, I like to feel her right next to me or in my arms, just to know she’s there.

As for annoying habits?  I don’t have any of those.

Now that you have fallen in love, would you recommend it to others?

Yes and no. Some people want to be in love just for the sake of feeling like they’re in love. The rush of excitement, the feeling of being needed or desired, the idea that you’re not alone, even if it’s so fucking obvious you’d be better off that way.

But if you’re lucky enough, like I was, to fall in love with someone you want to share your life with – the person you want next to you during the greatest of times and the shittiest of times?  That, I highly recommend.

Since you’ve been spoiled all your life, does Katherine spoil you?

Sure.  Kate spoils me when, and where, it counts.  Often enough that can’t forget what a lucky son of a bitch I am.

And one of my favorite things to do is spoil Kate – surprise her, make her sigh or smile, in ways she never has before and for reasons she didn’t expect.

Besides being extremely hot, what is the best quality about yourself?

(Smirks)  Again, difficult to pick just one.

I think my honesty, my directness, is one of my finest qualities. I don’t pull any punches, I don’t bait and switch – what you see is what you get.  You may not like who I am or what I have to say, and that’s fine.  Some people want to be lied to.  But no one can claim that I don’t tell it like it is – or, at least, what I think it is.  And in most cases, my opinions are right on the money.

Do you have a nickname for Katherine and vice versa?

Not really. In our more…intimate…moments, Kate calls me ‘God’ a lot. (Smiles)  Which is nice.  But I really prefer hearing her say my actual name.

And sometimes I call her baby or sweetheart.  Contrary to my earlier opinions on those nick-names, when I call her those I actually mean it sincerely.  Affectionately.

When you propose, is it going to be epic?

We’re a little ways off from that point.  I’m still getting used to the whole boyfriend thing.

But, you’d have to pretty dumb, deaf and frigging blind to not know that’s where we’re headed.  So, yes – when I propose, ‘epic’ will be an accurate description. Incredible, once-in-a-lifetime, will work too.

I plan on making it an offer she really can’t – and won’t want – to refuse.  (Winks) Kate deserves no less.

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything – or anyone – derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.

We have an ebook copy of TANGLED up for grabs today!

Drew sounds hilarious! I like Alpha AND Beta heroes. I’m not a big fan of smirking heroes, but if they’re funny like Drew, I might make an exception.
