~ AUTHOR OF THE MONTH ~
Hi Jill! Welcome to UTC! So it’s probably no secret that I love your books. You write such fun, sweet and sexy books, so you must be a fun, sweet and sexy gal yourself! Can you please introduce yourself to our readers and maybe tell us a few interesting tidbits that readers wouldn’t necessarily know about you?
Well, let’s see. I’m a city girl living in the mountains with bears and deer for company. And too many teenagers. I’m a big romance reader who just happens to be a romance writer as well. 🙂
IT HAD TO BE YOU is book seven in the Lucky Harbor series and this is Ali and Luke’s story. I love Ali’s spirit and the fact that Luke’s job as a police detective brings forth the perfect opportunity for a mystery subplot. What would you say was the easiest part of writing this book? What was the most difficult?
I like to refer to this book as the Book That Almost Killed Me. For some reason, Luke did NOT want to behave. I never really did wrestle him into submission. He wrestled me. Um, metaphorically. 🙂
Do you have a favorite scene from this book that you’d like to share?
When Ali gets a little drunk and falls in the lake and Luke stares down into the water thinking shit, now I have to jump in and save her, I guess…
In all your books, I have fallen in love with each hero. What is one quality that you think all that all heroes should have?
A damn big … heart. What, did you expect something else? 🙂
ALWAYS ON MY MIND is sexy Jack Harper’s book with Leah Sullivan. I’m very excited for this book! What can you tell us about this September release?
That Jack Harper is hands down my favorite hero of all time.
You know I gotta ask about Ben, the hero of ONCE IN A LIFETIME! Who is he and will we be learning more about him soon?
You’ll get more of him in Jack’s story, and he’s sexy as hell. 🙂
Your other Contemporary series, Animal Magnetism is being reissued with brand new covers! Can you please tell us a bit about this series for new readers?
It’s centered around a hot trio of brothers who run a big animal center in Sunshine, Idaho.
What does your daily writing routine look like?
Write, feed the animals, write, wrestle the teens, write, feed the masses, write… you get the picture.
If you could date any fictional character, who would you pick and why?
Roarke from JD Robb’s In Death series, hands down. And really, he doesn’t require an explanation…
Forest or beach?
Beach (less bears)
Hiking or napping?
Napping, no question
ALL of them
Roarke or Ranger? (This is a trick question!)
That’s like picking my fave book. I’ll take both. 🙂
IT HAD TO BE YOU
Lucky Harbor # 7
Ali Winters is not having a good day. Her boyfriend left her, everyone in town thinks she’s a thief, and now she’s about to be kicked out of her home. Her only shot at keeping a roof over her head and clearing her name is to beg for help from a police detective who’s as sexy as he is stern….
After a high-profile case goes wrong, Luke Hanover returns to his hometown for some peace and quiet. Instead he finds a bombshell brunette in a heap of trouble. As he helps Ali put her world back together, the pieces of Luke’s own life finally seem to fall into place. Is this the start of a sizzling fling? Or are Luke and Ali on the brink of something big in a little town called Lucky Harbor?
