“Every character and story is always sweet and leaves me happy and with a sigh at the end. ” ~Under the Covers

I have a lot of love for this series.  Every character and story is always sweet and leaves me happy and with a sigh at the end.  FATED was no different.  Perfect for a quick mood pick up.

Although I couldn’t really remember at first who Kate Andrews was, yes bad memory, I quickly caught on with some Twitter help.  Kate was the one friend Faith had when returning to Serendipity.  And she’s had a crush….no, been in love, with Nick for a long time.  Of course, she thought Nick still had feelings for Faith because he tried to make a move on her when she came back.  But what she doesn’t know is that it was never about Nick not being over Faith.

Even though Kate has always been there for Nick, he just recently realized that she might be “it” for him.  The attraction and the chemistry has been there and he doesn’t know why she’s not going out with him.  But after so many nos, he takes matters into his own hands to prove to her that he wants her and only her.

Nick, as always, was delicious.  I think I’ve always liked his character and I’ve been waiting for him to get an HEA.  And him finally opening his eyes and falling for the girl that has always been there was nice.

This was a bit too short for my taste, but since the groundwork was pretty much laid out already, the whole romance between them worked well for me.

About Carly Phillips

New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips tossed away her legal briefs and a career as an attorney to become a stay at home mom. Within the year, she turned her love of reading into an obsession with writing. Over 30 published novels later, Carly writes sexy contemporary small town romances, striking a balance between entertainment, humor and the emotion her readers have come to expect and enjoy.

Carly is a New York Times bestseller, USA Today Bestseller, Publisher’s Weekly bestseller and as of 2012, a Romance Writer’s of America RITA Nominee. In 2002, Carly’s novel, The Bachelor, became Kelly Ripa’s “Reading with Ripa” pick on Live with Regis and Kelly, making it the first romance ever chosen on a nationally televised book club.

Carly received her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and is a graduate of Boston University School of Law (J.D.). To date, Carly has over thirty novels to her credit, all available wherever books are sold.

When not writing or playing online, Carly loves to read, occasionally to knit, and to spend time with her family. She lives in Purchase, New York with her husband, two daughters and her dogs, a soft coated wheaten terrier and a Havanese. Her dogs are prominently featured on her website and Facebook page.

I’m a 30 something sun lover living in the Big Apple (read New York).I’m a book and coffee addict and lover of all things elephants.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!

I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.

Francesca,
I admit to being wayyyyyyy behind with this series. In other words, I have Serendipity in my ‘Library’…but I just haven’t gotten to it yet. Carly Phillips is one of those authors who can almost always expect a sweet romance with engaging characters. And that this is a series is a plus for me. I love seeing several characters and their ARC throughout a series and it makes them feel a little bit more like family.
Great review.
