KEEPING PROMISE ROCK is full of angst and heartbreak but is well balanced with desire and passion. Lane really showcases a relationship that feels authentic to readers. ~ Under the Covers
There are three things I learned while reading KEEPING PROMISE ROCK:
1) Amy Lane is a fabulous writer
2) Carrick Francis and Deacon Winters are simply amazing together
3) From now on, I will listen to people when they try to force books on me
I’ve had KEEPING PROMISE ROCK on my reader for the longest time but had no inclination to read it until I was in a reading slump. Nothing. And I mean nothing I was doing was getting me out of that slump. As I browsed through the titles on my ereader, I stumbled upon this book and realized that many of my friends had loved it and I hadn’t read it yet. Naturally, I jumped on it and once I began reading it, I knew I would feel the same by the time I finished this book.
Crick and Deacon have loved each other for their entire lives but have never really had the opportunity to act upon their desire until now. I loved that Ms. Lane brought her readers on a journey, introducing Crick and Deacon from they were young and confused about their attraction to one another and really developed that and delved deep into their personalities to bring out their love. As I read, I felt as if I was yearning right alongside them as they tested the bonds of the trust.
KEEPING PROMISE ROCK is full of angst and heartbreak but is well balanced with desire and passion. Lane really showcases a relationship that feels authentic to readers. This story will fully encompass you, taking you on a journey that has its ups and downs but will ultimately be satisfying in the end. I loved it!
