CLOCKWORK PRINCE is book 2 in the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. If you’re a fan of Kristen Callihan’s Darkest London series or even Meljean Brook’s RIVETED, then I think you’ll enjoy this series as well.

Clare, always, does an amazing job of writing stories that take readers out of their world and into hers. She so easily paints a vivid scene for readers and they are helpless but to jump in and experience the world that she has to offer. CLOCKWORK PRINCE starts off where CLOCKWORK ANGEL finishes off. Tessa is dealing with the betrayal that has torn her beliefs and her heart apart. She is also torn between two potential lovers in Will and Jem. Both vastly different in their personalities but complement each other nicely, Tessa doesn’t know who or what it is exactly she is feeling for either of these men. If I had to choose a guy in this particular book, I THINK I might go with Jem. So many scenes with him broke my heart and as Will and Tessa shared a very intimate scene in this book book, I think Jem gets his turn in this one. I just adore him!

There was one thing I wished to see more of in this book. I noticed that whenever something big is happened, Will and Jem are almost never together. Someone always gets left behind. Only a couple scenes had them fighting together and I love action, so seeing these two men together, fighting against whatever bad is out there would have been great. Also, I think the lesser amount of action is due to the fact that this is set in Victorian times and also Tessa isn’t a fighter.

I’m bummed now that I have to wait super long for the next book. Why did they have to push release day back???

I’m an obsessive makeup junkie and a compulsive reader. I like to call Under the Covers Book Blog my stomping ground, but when I’m not talking about books with my girls, I write New Adult Dystopian and Contemporary Romance under the pen name Ana Jolene (http://www.anajolene.com). I also work as a virtual assistant for authors. You also can find me as a reviewer and columnist for FreshFiction.com.

When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction, Cozy Mysteries and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, then I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.

When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and planners or dreaming about Kpop boys and beaches. Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!

I find the cover interesting and enjoy YA, but why is there ALWAYS a love triangle? It gets a little predictable and tiresome after a while…

LOL! You’re right, but I honestly think that Clare is one of the best in YA who does love triangles.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. It is so meaty–one that you can just lose yourself in and has such a great story to follow and characters that jump out of the pages. Can’t wait for the new one in this series! OOOOH, and the movie will (hopefully) rock!
