REDEEMED is the first book I’ve read from Ciana Stone and I was immediately impressed by the writing. From page one I was sucked into this world that Stone had created. With a take-no-shit heroine in Cia and a suspenseful mystery pulling the plot forward, I knew that REDEEMED would be a book I finished quickly.
While I enjoyed Cia’s quick comebacks and kickass attitude, I also felt that sometimes she came on too strong. Whenever Kade would try to coax something out of her, she hissed like a cat and unleashed her claws. This part was a little frustrating for me because for such a short book, you want the romance to be strong and I think Cia’s actions impeded that.

Also, I was in a for a shock because going into this book, I thought that this was an erotic suspense. We definitely get the sexy and the suspense side, but then the author threw me in for a loop with she added a slight paranormal element. I’m not quite sure how I felt about this. It added to the mystery that was Cia, but I guess it was just totally unexpected that I don’t really know how to take it.
On the flipside, Kade was a great guy. I just loved him, but I felt that in the beginning, everything happened so fast between Cia and Kade that you wish there was more character development. I wanted to know more about Kade.

Overall, this was a great introduction to a new voice for me. I’ll be on the lookout for more of Ciana’s work!
