“This book is a perfect example of why Cherise Sinclair is amongst the upper echelons of the genre. Her ability to evoke emotions from her readers and create characters that are timeless makes this book more than just your typical Paranormal Erotic Romance. ”

LEAP OF THE LION is the fourth book in The Wild Hunt Legacy. If you’re knew to this series, then you may be surprised that this book is Paranormal Erotic Romance because to me, it feels like much more.

After suffering for a decade, Darcy MacCormac escapes the Scythe, leaving behind everything that she knew and loved. Thankfully, she is discovered by other shifters. But as a brand new cougar shifter herself, she had no idea what she has gotten herself into.

The heroes who find her are brothers and although they share the same blood, their personalities are very different from one another. Gawain is much more lighthearted than Owen yet Darcy is drawn to them both.

While the premise seems to sound a little simple, it’s not. Sinclair does an amazing job of evoking sympathy and emotion from her readers with this book. Just reading the first chapter is enough to have you bonding with the characters because they have already been through so much. There’s a darker tone to this book and I do think it’s possible that those who have suffered from abuse may find this as too intense. Unlike other Sinclair books, this one does put a lot of focus on their suffering, but I do believe that Sinclair handles it beautifully.

This book is a perfect example of why Cherise Sinclair is amongst the upper echelons of the genre. Her ability to evoke emotions from her readers and create characters that are timeless makes this book more than just your typical Paranormal Erotic Romance. This story is very much about healing and growth and I very much enjoyed reading every page.

About Cherise Sinclair

Having to wear glasses in elementary school can scar a person for life. Dubbed a nerd at an early age, Cherise Sinclair has been trying to live up to the stereotype ever since. And what better way than being an author?

Known for writing deeply emotional stories, the USA Today Bestselling Author has penned sixteen erotic romance novels, most with a BDSM theme. (Please do not mention the phrase mommy porn in her presence.) Her awards range from a National Leather Award to a Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice nomination to a GoodReads BDSM group award for best author of the year. Called an “ascendant erotica queen” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Cherise spends her days writing, supervised by a sadistic calico cat.

Blogger/Reviewer at Under the Covers Book Blog
I’m a 26 year old obsessive makeup junkie and a compulsive reader. I like to call Under the Covers Book Blog my stomping ground, but when I’m not talking about books with my girls, I’m also a reviewer for FreshFiction.com. Over there, I’m also a columnist. I have a column called Into the Night that discusses the latest and greatest news in the Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy genre. I also work as a virtual assistant for authors.

When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, to New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.

When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and fashion or dreaming about boys and beaches. My love for all things David Gandy is well documented on the Internet and we’ll be getting married shortly. I’ll be sure to send you an invite to the wedding! ;P Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!
