“If you are looking for a HOT, Quick, entertaining read Ruthless King will not disappoint.”
~ Under the Covers

Once upon a time I was given the opportunity to review Meghan March’s first release Beneath This Mask, and I fell in love with her words. As time passed none of her following releases could top my love for Beneath This Mask. With this new release Ruthless King, Ms. March has intrigued me, and I find myself quite impatient for the remainder of the story of Kiera and Lachlan. The verdict is still out on whether this story will dethrone Beneath This Mask.

Ruthless King was a very different read from Ms. March it is very steamy yet at times I would dare say crude and her words are not as smooth as experienced in other books. I am torn as on the one hand I want desperately to know what is to come in Defiant Queen and Sinful Empire, yet not thrilled with the plot line, hero’s behavior, or the change in writing style. At this time as hot as Lachlan may be I find him to be a complete ****. Remains to be seen whether this antihero’s tale will be enough to redeem him and make him worthy of the love of the heroine Keira. Keira is a strong, intelligent woman who has been hurt greatly and continues to be mistreated emotionally. Ruthless King is a very quick read and I found myself quite surprised that I arrived at the cliffhanger so quickly. To be fair I will let you know I am not a fan of cliffhangers or e-serials etc. There is not much I can say right now as I need more to deliver an accurate review of this storyline. If you are looking for a HOT, Quick, entertaining read Ruthless King will not disappoint. As for me I will be here awaiting the 2nd and 3rd installment quite impatiently. Defiant Queen please do not make me wait too long lol.

About Meghan March

A New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of more than twenty titles, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at meghanmarchbooks@gmail.com.

Meghan is represented by Bookcase Literary Agency.

I am an “X” year old hotel executive lover of all things romance (It was instilled in me that after age 20 a lady should never reveal her age, lol). My love of romance began with Spanish telenovelas at a young age. I spent great spans of time with my grandparents who did not speak English and became engrossed in the world of telenovelas as they were always playing on the TV in their home. In my teens some of my first ventures into romance were Forever by Judy Blume, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. With the passage of time when I went to college I read anything that was available in the limited market, and romance section at the local B&N. My first favorites were by Jude Deveraux, Judith McNaught, Johanna Lindsey, Linda Lael Miller, Amanda Quick aka Jayne Ann Krentz, and Sandra Brown.

I go through genre phases at times but will read just about anything romance with the exception of NA/YA which I tend to stay away from. I have read some romances with MM roles however it is not what I prefer unless there is a Menage MMF relationship. The vast availability of talented work by so many authors and all at the click of a button make it feel like it’s Christmas every day and my wallet feels it as well, though sometimes some books I buy feel like lumps of coal in my stocking. I am trying to get on track with using Goodreads so I can keep it all straight. I live for the moments when I can lay in the sun on a beautiful island destination with my family, a tropical drink nearby, and my trusty paperwhite in hand, or just spending quality time with great friends, family or a book on my nook or kindle!
