THE REUNITED by Shiloh Walker Blog Tour
So maybe you remember that time back in the fall where I lost my mind. I went a little crazy, went on a crime spree and stole a bunch of stuff from friends…um, well.**
I’m trying to make amends. I’ve begged and pleaded with them to forgive me and now I’m begging and pleading with everybody else. This time, instead of taking stuff, I want to fix stuff. But the question is…what do I fix?
So…well, it’s February…almost Valentine’s Day. We’ll fix some lovers! Reunite them…ya know?
Like lovers…famous lovers who just can’t seem to get connected the way they should be.
Romeo and Juliet!
Kermit and Miss Piggy!
And since none of my friends from the last go-round trust me in their homes right now, I had to enlist some new friends to go along on this little mad jaunt.
I promise, I absolutely did not steal any secrets this time, I did not break into any homes.
And they still offered up prizes…Carly Phillips, Ruthie Knox, Jaci Burton, Elle Kennedy & Lauren Dane are joining me on my…um…REUNITED tour, where I try to make amends and we talk about famous couples and give away prizes.
Wanna join us?
**I didn’t really go on a crime spree. Really. It was all in fun. Maybe I did go crazy, though. You never know.
So…I wanted to make this really easy on the authors who were helping me make amends. Just an easy question…and then we’ll ask Mr. Cupid not to tear our favorite couples apart. I don’t know if it will work, but the power of positive thinking, right?
First up…Carly Phillips!
Name a famous couple that you don’t think should ever be torn apart…
Carly: Of course I have to come up with a TV related answer! And I have two. Sorry
Jason and Sam from General Hospital – Jason is presumed dead on the show and Sam refuses to believe it. Yep. I agree. He has to come back.
Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn from Alias – got their happily ever after in the series finale and I’m happy happy with that.
Carly has kindly offered up a prize… Serendipity, Destiny or Karma – book or eBook- signed bookplate and goodies sent separately!
Here’s some info about Carly’s latest…

In the picturesque town of Serendipity, New York, three siblings have grown up in the shadow of their proud and respected police chief father. But what do love, fate, and fortune have in store for the next generation of Serendipity’s finest?
Always feeling like the odd man out in his family, Michael Marsden wanted to make it on his own. So he escaped Serendipity to become an undercover cop in Manhattan, where the Marsden name wasn’t known. But Michael’s independence is compromised when he returns home to replace his sick father as chief of police. Back in the shadow of his family, he’s as lost and restless as ever, until he’s challenged by someone he never anticipated.
Cara Hartley is the Serendipity cop with whom Mike had a one night stand three months earlier. Neither expected anything more but fate has other things in store. When Mike returns as Cara’s boss, the sexual tension between them is impossible to ignore—and the unexpected emotional connection continues to grow. But Cara’s a small town girl while Mike has a wanderer’s blood in his veins.
Both are convinced a future together is impossible. Until Mike’s real father’s secrets come back to haunt him and he realizes there are some things worth staying and fighting for. Including Cara.
And if you’re curious to read about the book that inspired me to REUNITE and fix things after my little life of crime…well, it’s THE REUNITED… (Yes, I had to get the promo bit in there…)

THE REUNITED
FBI Psychics # 3
by Shiloh Walker
From the national bestselling author of The Departed comes an all new novel of danger, intrigue, and a love stronger than death…
AN ETERNAL DESIRE
With his strong psychic ability, FBI Agent Joss Crawford longs for the woman he loved in a past life. But after years of searching, a new case is drawing him into the last place he’d ever want to find her: an underground slave ring. Going undercover to infiltrate the network, he meets Drucella Chapman–the mastermind’s fiancee. Joss has every reason to believe she’s evil. So why is he irresistibly drawn to her?
A DANGEROUS GAME
Drucella has made it her personal mission to bring the slave ring down. But the sadistic ring leader is even more careful than he is cruel. In order to gain information, Dru has had to get close to the very man she wishes to kill, psychically reading his memories bit by bit. she’d do anything to finish the job, but agreeing to marry him may have been a step too far–even for her.
A FATEFUL ENCOUNTER
Though Joss and Dru are both undercover, nothing can disguise the sense of deja vu they experience when they meet. Neither can afford to be distracted from the mission at hand, but perhaps their reunion is exactly what this mission needs…

Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy! And I sooooo have to agree about Sydney and Vaughn – those two are so perfect together, and definitely deserve to stay together.

characters in books usually do end up with the happily ever after – in tv the characters are so maniipulated to provide entertainment

Every book I read ends with my assumption that they will live HEA. You know I’m gonna go with Danny and Sandy from Grease for nostalgic reasons. they we’re my first love story.

Truth be told when it comes to romance or at least romance novels. I think no couple should be torn apart. I can handle tons of angst and pitfalls along the way. In the end, despite it all… I want a HEA.

I agree with a few of the posts in that I want all my couples in romance-land to stay together, but if I had to pick one couple only, it would be Chastity and Trevor from Kristan Higgins’ “Just One of The Guys”.

I want all my favorite couples to keep their HEA after the book is closed. But the one couple I want together and to stay together is Blay & Quinn from J R Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. We have been waiting years for these two to finally get together! I just can’t wait for this book.

The first thing that popped into my mind was Acheron and Tory from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s book. But then, from a movie, Tarzan and Jane with Christopher Lambert. I didn’t like that they ended the movie with him going back to the jungle.

I agree with most, when you read romance you want all the couples to stay together. I love Lora Leighs books, those couples go through so much just to be able to stay together. So, I don’t have a particular couple but in TV I would love to see Emily & Aiden stay together on Revenge!

The thing I like about romance is that they have a HEA and you feel that after what the couple went through to get together, no one would ever be able to come between them. It’s really hard to pick just one couple and there were lots of great answers. The couple that came to mind for me was Brenda Leigh Johnson and Fritz Howard from The Closer.

This thing is crazy… anyway a famous couple who should never be split? Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. I can’t imagine them separated! In fiction… Of course Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are up there, but also Fiona and Michael on Burn Notice and Mary and Matthew from Downton Abbey (damn me for reading blogs about the British version….)

When I think legendary lovers, Romeo & Juliet immediately jump to mind. Not a happy ending, but definitely a couple that has lasted the test of time and have spurred so many other stories. Of course, you can’t go wrong with the fairy tale classics such as Snow White, Cinderella, etc. My early ideals of romance come from these stories.
